Best Uses For Witch Hazel

Hey everyone! I am sharing with you some ways to use Witch Hazel into your daily routines.

Witch Hazel is an astringent derived from the bark and leaves of Hamamelis virginiana, the common or North American witch-hazel shrub. Native Americans discovered the medicinal properties of witch hazel to treat skin irritations and tumors. Today, witch hazel is used for multiple ways from beauty to health. Below are some of its uses:

  1. As a cleanser to remove dirt and oil from your face
  2. As a toner to clean and tighten pores
  3. Help heal bruises, cuts, diaper rashes, stretch marks, and blemishes
  4. Use before hair-removal to loosen hair follicles and lessen pain and irritation. It can also be used after hair-removal to heal razor bums and damaged hair follicles
  5. Stop minor cuts and scrapes from bleeding
  6. Help treat ear wax
  7. Sore throat relief (buy the witch hazel that does NOT contain alcohol)
  8. Treat damaged gums (uses witch hazel that does NOT contain alcohol)
  9. Relieve itchy skin
  10. Use as a natural deodorant
