Today I want to give you ways to keep your skin moisturized all day, all year-round. I know winter just past, but that doesn’t mean dry skin disappear with it. Here’s two ways to keep your skin moisurzed for hours.
Drink Plenty of Water
No matter what you are using on your skin, you must hydrate your body to retain the moisture.
Exfoliate 1-3x a Week
Removing dead skin cells not only help to have new cells form, it also helps the skin to absorb products better. With exfoliating, it’ll help to retain moisture longer than without exfoliating. Also, many exfoliating have moisturizing ingredients that can prolong skin’s moisture.
Use Oils and Creams to Moisturize
Using ingredients like shea oil, coconut oil, almond oil, and cocoa butter (to name a few) to hydrate your skin. Oils are lightweight on the skin and keep your skin moisturized for long periods of time. Creams are heavier in consistency, but they help your skin moisturized for hours. Oils are a bit messier, but I find them to keep my skin moisturized a little longer than creams, and it is better since you’re not washing off the cream every time you’re washing your hands. Oil is also best for summer months since the don’t feel too heavy on the skin, and cream for winter months.
