How To: Get Soft, Smooth Legs

Hello everyone! I hope you guys had a great week.

The sun’s out and we want to show some skin! Today,  I will sharing with you ways to get soft and smooth legs ready for skirts and short shorts for the warmer months.

Tip #1: Don’t shave your legs as soon as you wake up.

You should wait at least 10-15 minutes after waling before you go in the shower. This will allow the hair follicles to loosen up, and it will prevent ingrown hairs when you’re shaving.

Tip #2: Exfoliate the areas that you’ll shave before shaving.

Exfoliating will help to also loosen up the hair follicles, and remove dead skin cells to get the closest shave possible.

Tip #3: Use aositurizing shaving oil, cream or gel.

Don’t rely on bar soap to give you a clean shave. You need something with a good amount of lather and it will stay on your legs until you’re ready to shave. Bar soap rinses away easily, and it’ll be very annoying to constantly lather the soap up until you run out of the bar soap. Instead, using shaving gel, cream, or oil will stay on and not slip off as easily. If you don’t want to buy shaving oil, I recommend using coconut oil or liquid African Black Soap as natural alternatives to give a clean shave.

Tip #4: Try to use a new razor to shave.

Usually a brand new razor will help give you a directly clean shave. Ausing a dull razor will cause cits and imgrowtn hairs. If you don’t have a new razor, you can sharpen your old razor by rubbing it against old denim jeans 10 times to restore its sharpness. It works just as well as of you had a new razor.

Tip #5: Shave in a downward direction to minimize ingrown hairs.

While it is easier to shave upwards, you’re more prone to cutting yourself doing so. Shaving downward will minimize cuts and ingrown hairs significantly. Make sure to shave in small strokes and taking your time to get the best results.

Tip #6. Mosituirze your shaved areas

Adding moisturizer to shaved areas will maintain  and prolong the area’s smoothness. No one wants to have a and paper-feeling skin.

I hope you find these tips helpful. Thank you so much for reading. Take care, and see you on the next week!
